Travel Guide
The Emirate of Dubai is the second largest one of the seven United Arab Emirates and it has the biggest population with more than 2,1 million inhabitants. Dubai joined to the UAE in 1971, being the other members Abu Dhabi (the capital), Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. In the last decades, Dubai has become one of the most successful and rapidly expanding economic sites in the whole Gulf and... in the world. Nowadays, around the 85% of Dubai’s population is foreign, with the fastest growing population in the world. The Camel racing is a very popular sport in Dubai and only children can participate in racing them, so now, child-sized robots are being built to race the camels instead of the children. Something curious to mention about Dubai is that the Burj Al Arab hotel uses enough gold to cover the Mona Lisa painting 46.265 times.
