Santa Cruz is the largest city of the Santa Cruz county in California, United States. It has a population of a bit more than 60.000 citizens and it lays in the Monterey Bay, near SanJose and San Francisco. Its proximity to the Silicon Valley gives to the city a lot of opportunities and attractions. The main industries in Santa Cruz are the agriculture, the tourism, the education and the high technology. Some of the touristic... attractions are the beaches, the Boardwalk of Santa Cruz, the redwood forests and obviously the Monterey Bay region, which is nowadays a protected marine sanctuary. Santa Cruz can show off of having many parks and very diverse ones. One of the top touristic and interesting hiking routes is the one going from the shoreline of the stunning Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary to the impressive redwoods. There is an important Golf tradition in the city and in the whole region and the main beach is very famous among surfers, it is thought to be one of the most famous surf beach in the United States.
