Batu Caves is the most important Hindu shrine of Malaysia and one of the more visitted attractions of the country. It is located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, about 30 minutes by train from the centre. This temple is one of the most important ones out of the India and it is in honour to the God Murugan, represented by a huge golden statue of more than 43 metres high just in the entrance of the sanctuary.
Something very relevant of the place is probably the staircase with 272 stairs which you have to climb up to arrive to the caves. During your way up be careful with the monkeys, they are very wise and if they smell your food they won’t separate from you. The entrance is for free.
