Jalebi dough is very popular throughout India and although it’s not an exclusive specialty of New Delhi, is very common to see street stalls preparing this caramelized cake. To see the development of this sourdough is part of the street scene. Jalebi are made from a fermented butter fried dough coated with a sweet syrup and a little sticky. It’s a very common candy and precious in all India. You will hardly find someone that rejects them!
