The lamb is one of the most popular meats in Norway, together with other hunting animals like the deer. It is cooked in various ways but the most famous and traditional is the lamb with onions, potatoes and cabbage (called Farikal) or the lamb leg baked slowly which is called Fenalar. The lamb ribs are also popular and the dish is known as Pinnekjott.
