The dead sea is a curious natural phenomenon there no vegetation grows. The reason behind it is the high level of salt in the waters that keeps the trees, flowers and plant to grow and live in this habitat. The Dead sea is actually a lake between Israel and Jordan and is also known for the deposits of asphalt that develop in the shores. Besides, on it the Jordan River flows, the place where Christ was baptized according to the bible. This is the reason why each day there are baptisms on the shores of the river. Besides, visiting the shore during the night makes the ritual and the landscape something really special.
