Middle East - Lebanon - Beirut
This white semi-hard cheese, which can be from goat’s, sheep’s or cow’s milk, is usually grilled or fried and then served with some salad and bread. It is originary from Cyprus (during the Medieval Byzantine period) and it started to be eaten through the Middle East. It is definetely a must-try while you are in Beirut.
