Bo-Kaap is one of Cape Town best known neighborhoods thanks to, among other things, its long history especially for the Cape Malay culture, a South African ethnic community. Most of the houses facades are of very bright colors so the neighborhood has an atmosphere of joy. Another distinguishing feature is the cobblestone streets and multiculturalism across the district.
The mix of ethnicities and traditions can be seen on every corner so walking through the neighborhood is quite an experience. In addition, there is the Bo-Kaap Museum that stands out because of its Islamic influence. The building is one of the main features, and it dates back from 1760, it is the oldest one in the area. Of course, visiting this part of the city will make you a participant of the South African way of life.
