Waterblommetjie is a dish with a very peculiar taste. The main ingredient is meat but it is cooked with a flower that grows a lot in Cape Town and South Africa in general: waterblommetjies or Aponogeton distachyos. This is an edible plant and gives a very characteristic touch to the dish.
