Hot Dogs are, along with hamburgers, one of the most eaten dishes in the USA. It's a sandwich with a frankfurt sausage which may be grilled, barbecued or even roasted. It's usually spiced with ketchup, mustard or chile. It's most common to eat it at street stalls.
