Wat Chiang Man is one of the oldest and most important temples in Chiang Mai. It was the residence of the most famous Chiang Mai king: king Mengray.
It's really famous for having two of the most popular and venerated Buddha statues in it: Buddha Phra Sila -or marble Buddha- Para Satang Man-or crystal Buddha- both of them treasures of Thailand.
The temple has two meditation rooms. Another outstanding thing in it is the central pagoda with fifteen sculpted elephants on its base, which give the place a great personality.
