Middle East - Oman - Muscat
The word “halwa” means literally dessert in Arabic. The Halwa is the most traditional dessert in Oman. With a strong texture, it is made out of honey, rose water, eggs, several local spices and some nuts, of course. Usually it is served with some coffee and dates. It is quiet common to serve it in a big plate with many spoons to share it.
