The Akershus Fort, in Norwegian Akershus Festning, is one of the main icons of Oslo and one of the main touristic attractions of Norway. The fort is located in the shoreline of the fjord near the centre of Oslo. It has some medieval doors which are stunning and a lifting bridge which you have to cross to arrive to the information point, the Resistence Museum and the Akershus Castle, built around the year 1300. The area is perfect for a walk and for spending a nice day, visiting Oslo from the high walls, specially breathetaking during the sunset time.
