The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, also known as the Norwegian People’s Museum, is an open air museum surrounded by vegetation where you can get to know better the history and culture of Norway. It is located in the Bygdoy Peninsula and in the whole extension of the field there are more than 155 buildings from various points of Norway which represent the life style of the citiens of the country throughout the history. The most famous building of the museum is the wooden church of Gol, which dates back to the 13th century. During the visit you can walk between cottages of wood, authentic Norwegian farms and discover the most rural part of Norway without going far from Oslo.
