The Piazza Venezia is one of the most awesome squares of Rome. In it many of the main streets of the city are joining, like Via del Corso, Via dei Fori Imperiali or Via del Teattro di Marcello. But which stands out the most of this place is its Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II, who was the first king of Italy. It is a huge sculpture which looks like a white marble building 135 metres long and 70 metres high. There it is located also the tomb of an unknown soldier and the statue of the Goddess Minerva, sitting in a chariot. It is recommended to go up through the wide staircase and admire Rome at your feet.
