Very near Tabriz, you can find this unique village. Kandovan is a unique town with manmade cliff region still inhabited. It is full of excavated homes made out of volcanic rocks, similar than the Turkish region of Cappadocia. This homes are locally known as “Karaans”. With a population of around 600 citizens, it is a unique place and a must-see in Iran.
