Mount Damavand is the highest peak in Iran and the highest volcano in the whole Asia. This mount has a very special significance in the Persian mythology and culture. To visit this region is also a must-do, specially for its beautiful hot springs located on the volcano’s flanks (no historic eruptions have been recorded). The most important hot springs are located in Abe Garm Larijan in the village Larijan.
