Međimurje is a small historical region in the North of Croatia, between the rivers Mura and Drava, belonging to the Medimurje County. The wine road in Medjimurje has a lot of history, with the following known wine varieties: Graševina (Welschriesling), White Riesling, Moslavac (Furmint), Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminac (Gewurztraminer und Red Traminer), Muscat Blanc while red wine varieties are represented by Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. This road is definetely a must-see and visit attraction if you are visiting Zagreb. A car trip from Zagreb to Medimurje region takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
