The Lakes of Plitvice are probably one of the most must-see spots in Croatia. It is a region with forests and lakes that form a National Park since 1949, and they attract more than 1 million annual visitors. They are located about 2 hours from Zagreb, but it is totally worth to visit them and see how the lakes change their colours. They became UNESCO World Heritage site 30 years ago.
