Kaleiçi is Antalya's old city and it has loads of charm. The neighborhood is a maze of small alleys, some with no end and others that go to places you won't be able to figure out why. The area has been restored and today you can perfectly see some of the Ottoman, Turkish and Greek houses that are along the cobblestone streets. As in many other cities, this is the part where some of the most important monuments and landmarks are, like the main square with the gate of the fortress and the tower clock, Kale Kapisi, the Tekeli Mehmet Passa Mosque or the Kesik Minare minaret, also known as the broken minaret.
This part of the city is also a shopping area with hotels, shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants.  All of this makes the Kaleiçi neighborhood one of the best places to stroll by or have a relaxed evening near the Mediterranean.
