Perge is like visiting a page of the Turkish past and it has remained relatively unexploited by tourism. Perge was the capital of ancient Pamphylia and nowadays this abandoned place is full of ruined temples, halls filled with columns, Roman baths, Hellenistic doors or an Acropolis that dates back to the Bronze Age... and the best of all is that you can still perfectly see the 15 km route that draw the remains of the city. This place isn't just watching stones, you can still feel the old glory in the air, the Greek and roman polis, and it still reflects Anatolya's classical period. It's certainly a highly valued complex of ruins and many people think of it at the same level, or even over, some ruins in Greece or Italy.
