Central Market Hall is the biggest market of all Budapest. It was built in 1897 to control the food quality. There was much controversy with the construction of the market because people noticed a steady increase in the price of food, although World War II brought already exorbitant prices so the complaints were lost between horror.
The market offers all kinds of food and is open Monday to Sunday though it's busier on Saturday morning. On the second floor the offer changes and hancrafted products are sold: clothes, etc. There are also food stalls with an offer that comes directly from the Hungarian kitchens cuisine. Really worth going through and tasting the flavors of the country by sharing a table with residents. Besides fast serving, it's good and affordable ... you can’t ask for more!
