The Hanging Church, officially known as Saint virgin Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church (in Arabic “El Mullaqa”) is a very old church in Egypt (built in about the 3rd century), located in Babylon, about 15 minutes driving from Cairo city centre. Its name comes from its location above the Babylon Fortress, which nave is suspending. You can access to the church along 29 steps. It has 110 icons, and the oldest dates back to the 8th century. If you love religious architecture and history this is also a must-see attraction definetely.
