The olivie salad is one of the most famous dishes in Russia. It is known like the “Russian salad” in mostly the rest of the world, but in Russia is called in honour to the French chef who invented it. It is made of potatoe, mayonese, some carrot, green beans and some other ingredients all mixed. In Russia is very common to eat it for New Year’s Eve.
