Central America + Caribbean - Puerto Rico - San Juan
The casado is one of the most typical and delicious dishes of Puerto Rico. It consists of a composition of rice, fried plantains, red peppers, beans, meat (chicken, pork or veal), onions and a salad of tomato and carrot. It is a very comprehensive and, above all, a very healthy dish. You can find it in most restaurant menus around the country and the truth is that if you choose to get it, you won't stay hungry.
