Pelmeni is a dish of Siberian origin and many attribute the original recipe to China due its resemblance to dumplings. Pelmeni are a kind of ravioli stuffed with meat accompanied with butter, spices or even ketchup. There is also another variety, the Vareniki, which are very similar to ravioli but larger.
