Jama Masjid, also known as the Friday Mosque, is the main temple in New Delhi for worship and it's one of the monuments we recommend to visit. The mosque is at the top of a hill and from there the view of New Delhi is worth seeing.
The temple can accommodate nearly twenty thousand people and its architecture blends Hindu and Mughal elements. The mosque has three large domes of black and white marble. At the end, there are two minarets of almost 40 meters that decorate the building and have a staircase of over 100 steps for the bravest. One of the most important features of Jama Masjid is caring for some relics of the Prophet Mohammed which is also very close to the Red Fort, which streamlines the visit to this part of Delhi.
