Located in less than one hour from Taipei, it is one of the most curious natural places in Taiwan. The Yehliu Geopark has some very original rock formations just next to the Chinese Sea. Many people describe these rock formations as “mushrooms”, but actually this special shape can be explained with the hundreds of years water erosion. There are some specially known rocks like the Queen’s Head, the Dragon’s Head, the fairy’s shoe or the Elephant’s rock, and it is true that walking through these natural esculptures is something unique and it makes you use your imagination. The excursion can take half day and in the area there are several paths you can follow and there is a food and drinks spot.
