Confucius Temple in Taipei and  Dalongdong Bao’an temple are two of the most important religious shrines in Taipei but also the less frequented by tourists, who usually visit the Longshan temple. The temples are one very near the other, near the Dalong street, inside the Datong District and its location facilitates their visit in just one morning or one afternoon.

In Taipei there are other temples dedicated to Confucious, one of the most important and recognized philosophers in the Asian culutre, and the Temple of Confucious in Taipei, is also filled with interesting details. The red colours prevail everywhere and also around the temple, with gardens and paved paths very recommended to explore.

The Temples Dalongdong Bao’an and Baoan are also one of the most important religious complex in Taiwan. The group of buildings has the prize as UNESCO cultural heritage of Asia and of the Pacific and there’s no need to say that it is beautiful, also full of details and nice sculptures. Despite it was built in 1742, it has been rebuilt and restored after earthquakes and typhoons, so it looks great, The temple has some of the best examples of Taiwan traditional arts and in general of the Asian arts, and the surroundings of the temple are also amazing. You’ll find some porches, paths, ponds and some animals. A very nice corner of Taiwan to be discovered and to escape from the bustling evironment of the city.
