Europe - Spain - Alicante
In Alicante, Murcia and in many regions of southern Spain it is very common to find meat pies on restaurant menus. The spread is easy to prepare, basically ground beef -usually beef, pork or veal-, seasoned with oil, spices and sometimes breadcrumbs. The dough is wrapped in a flour dough and put in the oven to cook it. The dish is very recurrent at family gatherings because it’s not complicated to make and quantities are very abundant.
