Europe - Spain - Alicante
Alicante is a land of sea and seafood plays a major role. There are dozens of recipes for different fish but some of the more special are the mullets calpe, the grilled sardines or canned fish such as tuna, cod or sardine dried (cured). The seafood is also commonly found in the a la carte restaurants and most abundant in the area are mussels, sea urchins, shrimp or squid, among others.
