Lüfer is what we know as bluefish. It's the traditional fish that swims in the Bosphorus waters and of course, they're one of the most widely used to put on the stove in Turkey. The recipes are endless but almost all of them include vegetables, spices, oil, garlic and a little pepper. This varies with the chef's preferences. The best season to eat bluefish is from August to December.
