The Temple of Heaven is one of the most sacred enclosures in China. Built by the Ming Dinasty, it was used by the emperor to make sacrifices to Heaven and thank for the gotten crops. It's formed up by several areas and buildings to pay tribute to the God of Heaven. Qian Dian is one of the most famous ones, a blue, round temple dedicated to the crops. Other parts worth visiting are the Circular Altar, built in marble with 9 concentric circles qhere sacrifices where held, or the Wall of Echo, a screen where sound ricochets making funny effects.
The temple of Heaven and the different enclosures forming the complex are at Tiantian Park, a green, area in Beijing where many walk, practise Tai Chi, play cards or even take dancing lessons!
