Carmel Market: HaCarmel St 11, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

Carmel Market is a market combined with a mall. Among its stalls and shops, there are handcraft products and antiques with present and modern elements. Most of them enter through Old Jaffa’s harbor and you have the opportunity to purchase everything that arrives from the Middle East at a very low price. The smell of spices, the colors of products… everything adds up for a good experience. It's quite crowded and the market is endless, but visiting it is one of the best ways of getting to know the country and its people, its products and its gastronomy.
Nachat Binyamin's another one of the known markets in Tel Aviv, almost side by side to Carmel Market, but that’s usually only available on two days: Tuesday and Friday. It’s pedestrian and though its products are a little more expensive than those in Carmel Market, it’s nice to walk among the stalls and to see good silk fabrics, very characteristic of the Middle East. It’s a good place to buy good quality, original pretty Israeli crafts.
