The Rialto Bridge is the most famous, beautiful and oldest bridge in Venice. It crosses the Grand Canal, the city's main channel, and it is one of the favorite places for tourists to take a photo in, which often causes lines to cross it. But this is because the views from the bridge are one of the most spectacular ones in Venice.
A common sight is dozens of boats and gondolas sailing through the canal with Venetian palaces on both sides.
Near the Rialto Bridge, in the opposite direction of Saint Mark’s square, you will find the Rialto Market: a colorful market with great atmosphere. The market opens daily from 9:00a.m till noon that's why it is better to go early in the morning to avoid loads of other tourists.
