The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is one of the most beautiful and best decorated Venetian buildings. It was built in the sixteenth century and one of the things that stands out is that all of its walls and ceilings were decorated and painted by Tintoretto. It took the painter more than 24 years to complete this work but the final result was worth it. Today, you can visit only three rooms in the Scuola.
If you're not a big fan of paintings a good option is to look at the Scuola building's details. The building it is a work of art on its own right.
Near Scuola Grande, San Rocco Church is located in the same square. This is one of Venice's most popular buildings and you can visit for free.
